What we started with
The Homestead Fam had a loyal kitchen and homesteading audience, strong daily content, and no commercial infrastructure — no products, no shop, no sourcing, no operations. Attention with nowhere to go.
What we built
Everything commercial, end to end: the TikTok Shop and Shopify storefront, fulfilment and customer service, the creator affiliate program, and GMV Max on top. Seven SKUs launched in four months while Mel kept making content. It's a creator brand whose shop we grew and an affiliate program we run: the same playbook, both directions.
“Before Thrive Creators, I ran everything myself and things were slipping through the cracks. They provided the infrastructure and expertise to scale and diversify our product sourcing, TikTok Shop, fulfilment and creator program. We've been working together since 2024, and they now run a large part of the business and have been a key factor in growing our profits and taking The Homestead Fam to new heights.”
What we learned
Affiliate content is the fuel. GMV Max is the amplifier.
The majority of shop sales come from creator content. Paid spend only started working once it was amplifying posts that already converted organically — running GMV Max first would have bought expensive traffic to an unproven page.
Warm beats recruited.
Activation came from creators already selling in the category — samples shipped fast, briefs answered, follow-ups done. Open collaboration invites produced lists, not posts.
The cookbook is the wedge.
The book converted followers into first-time customers, and the kitchen products followed into the same carts. Start with the product the audience already asked for, then extend the line.
